Plagiarism Policy

Pulso Científico Revista Multidisciplinaria strictly adheres to the highest principles of academic integrity, publication ethics, and intellectual property protection. Any form of plagiarism or academic misconduct is considered unethical and fundamentally unacceptable.

Authors submitting manuscripts to Pulso Científico Revista Multidisciplinaria must guarantee that their work is original and has not been published previously in any other publication venue. Authors are obligated to ensure that all external sources, data, methodologies, and concepts incorporated into their articles are cited appropriately, accurately, and comprehensively, in compliance with recognized academic referencing standards.

Plagiarism Prevention and Detection Protocols

To ensure academic quality and original contribution, submitted manuscripts undergo a structured, multi-stage screening process prior to being assigned for peer review:

  • Initial Technical Screening: Manuscripts are first evaluated to verify compliance with the journal’s technical specifications and formatting guidelines.
  • Plagiarism Detection Analysis: Following technical validation, all manuscripts undergo automated similarity screening using Turnitin software to assess content originality against international academic databases, published literature, and online repositories.
  • Double-Blind Peer Review: Acknowledging that automated detection tools primarily index digital content and may not identify all nuanced forms of academic misconduct, manuscripts are evaluated by independent peer reviewers who examine contextual originality, integrity, and authenticity.

Investigations and Sanctions

Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their articles. If plagiarism or academic misconduct is identified at any stage during the editorial process or post-publication, the matter is formally escalated to the Editorial Board and handled in accordance with the ethical standards of Pulso Científico Revista Multidisciplinaria:

  • Pre-Publication Detection: If plagiarism is confirmed during the preliminary review or peer review stages, the manuscript will be subject to immediate rejection. Authors will receive an official notification detailing the findings of the similarity analysis.
  • Post-Publication Detection: If plagiarism or unethical conduct is verified in a published article, the Editorial Board will issue a formal correction or full retraction, published transparently in alignment with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) protocols. Additionally, the offending authors will be barred from submitting future work to Pulso Científico Revista Multidisciplinaria.
